  1. Now if it were eight words, you could add "clutch back". But that might just be me.

    1. oh definitely. And if you wanted an infinite number, add 'whimper softly" and "make funny noises when moving" but "clutch back" seems to cover it nicely.

Im pretty sure that by fall I'll be able to turn my head to see who's sneaking up behind me, but for now I just have to hope it's friendly.

  2. Almost as tiring as helping my son move. :) :) But we did it!

    1. about the only time in my life when I regret the lack of big strong sons--however, realistically, I'd probably have to redo every bit of wood they stacked, or they would all be busy with their own chores, or that bad back syndrome would keep cropping up everytime the wood guy drove past their house to get to my house.

      No blame, no shame.

I think of it as a work in progress, and there is an amazing gift of satisfaction when the shed is stuffed full, and you close the wood door for the last time until spring and you think, well, damn. Ain't that pretty.

  4. It has been awhile since I have thought of wood. It has been near 100 here for days, but your wood does look nice.

    1. We've been having late September this month, mostly, last few mornings Ive even had bark chip fires to take the chill off. I'm just afraid August will be the Month of Early Snow, at this rate.

But thank you, Harvey; we've got room for two more cords inside, and then stack what's left outside.

I was thinking the other day, people go to a gym and pay money to do this stuff, and I get to stay home and do it for free. One of us is crazy.
