Fun international list! My T13
ReplyDeleteTasmanian Devil! Haven't thought of that whirlwind on Bugs Bunny in years!
ReplyDeleteChinese pie? I'm ignorant of that one. I'll have to look it up.
ReplyDeletetrip down memory lane, countrydew...
ReplyDeleteI gained two pounds putting this list together lol
chinese pie is something I remember from college, it was weighted down with heavy tomato sauce and some kind of crust, i have no idea what was in it, but it appeared I was the only one who liked it. I suspect it was pretty awful, but hey when youre 17...
ReplyDeleteOn chinese pie day I ate well, lol
OMG french toast is amazing. Cinnamon, real maple syrup....I'm drooling.
ReplyDeletefunny, here in NH we are drowning in the stuff, but if you go to the tourist traps er, White Mountains and stop at gift shops, what you get is something someone with a great deal of imagination calls Maple Sugar Candy and bears as much resemblance to Maple anything as a bicycle does to a Harley. Thats what I thought maple syrup tasted like.
ReplyDeleteThen I grew up and found out how good the real stuff is.
Some people desecrate French toast with powdered sugar. gasp.
And it turns out Chinese Pie is a Canadian dish and what we call Chinese Pie here is actually Sheperd's pie.

Id say the college cooks took a few liberties with it.
Not to nit-pick but... it's "rarebit."
ReplyDeleteI checked, LLG, and it can go both ways. And I just KNOW if I had put down 'rarebit' someone would have said, "not to nitpick but its' "rabbit".
ReplyDeleteLol. somedays you just can't win.
But thank you for the comment and the visit. You're always welcome to drop by.
