When a man has a tractor that plows snow, and a bucket for lift, carry, and dig, and also has the great god Hydraulics, he's happy. Now, he says, I can plow snow. I can dig holes. I can move rocks and dirt and wood.
Then he discovers that there is also a machine that can be Modified. It will not only plow and dig and carry, it can lift almost anything if you have enough rope and chain and hooks, it can carry boulders, and dig deeper holes. Instead of just plowing, it can now blow snow.
And lo, it has Attachments. He can now grade dirt roads, pull tree stumps, split wood and then carry it away. And if he's at all creative with acetylene torches and welding, he can accessorize it with hooks and mounts and brackets.
However, (you just knew there was a However) it now enables him to envision projects that he "always wanted to try" and as long as he has enough chains and lifting mechanisms and a really good set of rollers and crowbars, and engine hoist, (and a doubtful but willing wife) he can get himself in the most god-awful messes that ever were. To be fair, so far he has managed to escape permanent Mess status...
Moral: Sometimes our reach exceeds our grasp and it might be time to buy another length of chain.
