The trees, despite all the dire predictions about dryness and such have just pulled up their collective pants and marched forward (try not to dwell on that image too long) into a reasonably slow autumn color shift.
What I like best about the top photo, that little shed has finally weathered enough to look as if it belongs there. Sorta like getting your new shoes scuffed up enough to go with the bluejeans you're breaking in...
