October humming along right on schedule (6WS)

(there were supposed to be five others but Blogger insisted they all had to be viewed sideways.  sigh.)

  1. It is still green in my neighborhood but yesterday we drove to a park about 45 minutes away and saw the red, yellow and orange fall scenery. It will probably come here this week and I have mixed feelings about that.

  3. Thanks, Becky. Boo to blooger, indeed.

I know fall colors signal winter on the way, but still, if you must go out, go out with all those wonderful flags waving. Not a lot we can do about it anyway, unless we head elsewhere and that's just too much of a headache...

    1. well, yeah, for anyone who lives in northern Ver-mont, it's a wondah you ain't had no snow, yet.

And for those of you northerners who still do the leaf shuffle, you now have enough to shuffle through, just don't shuffle on acorns, they can embarrass the heck out of you.

  6. In the Midwest, the colors are still on their way. Some are starting to peek through the green.

  8. Thanks, Meester. It varies from year to year, region to region. It happens when it happens. And then it stops. =)

I always enjoy the weathermen trying to explain why and how and most importantly when all this is going to happen. I don't think they've been right yet.

    1. Thanks, Suzy. I found out that the only way to deal with the photos I want to put up is to rotate them a quarter turn LEFT and Blogger is happy with that; go figure. I may put up a few more today. they did come out well, but it's a pain to go through the extra steps all over again.
