"because" is sometimes the only answer to "why"
...and so few shelves
Better than not enough books, or even (nightmare!) no books.
I think I would get lost in there and never come out!Have a great week.
there are never enough shelves, never enough space. for christmas one year we gifted ourselves with a ten foot long ceiling high bunch of modular shelving, of which this is about half. My biggest fear is an earthquake, which could leave us buried in an avalanche of books...Brenda, its not a bad place to get lost in, for sure =)Waves at Jo, and Ron.
So many books and so little time indeed! I totally agree with you that it feels "strangely comforting" that we will never be able to read all of them. Though that thought sometimes makes me sad as well ;)There are never enough shelves, never enough space: so true as well!!
thanks for the inspiration for this, Cessie--I've become a master shelf builder out of sheer necessity; there are cobbled together shelf units all over the house, and still they come, and still they accumulate. Even a special unit for a sick-stash; when you reach that stage, all you DO is read, read, read...
Frank Zappa is credited with that quote...just sayin'...and I agree!
Indeed. Happy reading!
I completely understand this 6WS! :-) Love it! Happy belated 6WS! :-)
