Color Perception

this is the sort of thing where you go in thinking, aha, Ive got this one knocked, and it turns out that you really didnt.  sigh.  It's also kind of addictive, once you start playing with it.

  1. Uh... That's something. I imagined I would suck at this, so I only bothered to do the first row. I actually got a perfect score. Go figure.

    Try all three. I did them all, and was surprised when I got a 30, although age may have a lot to do with it. It is surprising, the way the colors blend so imperceptibly...

  3. I remember playing this a while back. I wonder how one's score would vary if, instead of squares, the colors were circles, this preventing a true side-by-side comparison.

  4. been thinking about that, and I suspect without the contiguous sides it would probably be almost impossible to get a realistic measurement of how well we perceive color. If the circles were to overlap a bit, that would make it harder but not infinitely so...
