Life is too short: eat dessert instead
I was just thinking about getting tomatoes from the farm today to make my favorite tomato jam! I haven't made tomato paste, but I really should try it, since I use it quite a lot. thank you for the prompt!
I just cut up the tomatoes and fling em in the pan. No peeling, blanching, deseeding. When they boil down enough I run them through a food mill or potato ricer, and get out all the seeds that way. Most of the skins have cooked down by then, so what's left goes out with the seeds.I've got the jelly cupboard half full, when it's full Ill take a picture. Of course.
